Reorganization, Bankruptcy, and Oversight Services

The AAA provides customized claims resolution services in connection with companies undergoing reorganization across various industries. We manage claims ranging from product liability to employment-related repayment disputes and offer a full spectrum of resolution methods, including:
  • Settlement negotiations
  • Mediation
  • Non-binding arbitration
  • Standard binding arbitration
One high-profile example is the American Arbitration Association Automobile Industry Special Binding Arbitration Program, developed by the American Arbitration Association and Congressional leadership in 2010. This initiative resolved over 1,500 complex disputes throughout the U.S. in six months, at no cost to the federal government. This program is described in more depth in the highly regarded “A Report to Congress on the Automobile Industry Special Binding Arbitration Program.”

PI Trust

Asbestos Personal Injury Trust Administration

The AAA is pivotal to the administration of asbestos personal injury trust funds, established through U.S. Bankruptcy Court rulings. These trust funds are designed to compensate claimants for asbestos-related injuries. To date, the AAA has been appointed as the “private adjudication ADR administrator” by seven personal injury (PI) trusts, and it continues to expand its expertise in this area.
